In our new “Relationships” issue, we commissioned Marc Jacobs’ chef Lauren Gerrie to translate some of Marc’s most memorable looks onto the plate for “Lauren & Marc.” The results are visually arresting, completely unique—and unbelievably delicious.
For Savor the Season 2016, we’ve invited Lauren to bring the “Lauren & Marc” concept to life again. It will be one-of-a-kind dining experience, using the colors, textures, flow, and composition of the Marc Jacobs recently shown Spring 2017 collection to inspire a vibrant, farmers market–fresh meal.
All proceeds of Savor the Season benefit GMHC, the nation’s first and leading provider of HIV/AIDS care, prevention, and advocacy. To learn more about GMHC read our Issue 2 story “Gloria Flores and the GMHC Meals Program,” in which Chef Gloria describes the hard, validating work she does every day overseeing the meals program, as well as her pride in the historic nonprofit’s mission and broad range of services.
By becoming a GMHC JarryType Society member and making a tax-deductible charitable contribution of $30 per month for 1 year to GMHC, you’ll be entitled to one ticket to Savor the Season and two consecutive issues of Jarry. For more information and to start your membership, click here.
Chef Lauren Gerrie, former dancer Chopped contestant, has been fashion designer Marc Jacobs’ personal chef since 2010, in which capacity she’s cooked for celebrities that range from Anna Wintour to Kanye West. She also co-owns, with Flannery Klette-Kolton, the New York–based private chef service bigLITTLE Get Together, which specializes in delicious, visually distinctive food events.
