Here's a cocktail as surly as we've been feeling lately.
It's tart, spicy, and mercifully refreshing. Think of it as fuel for the long days and nights ahead.
The Surly Temple
Makes 1 drink
1-1/2 ounces spiced rum (such as Lemon Hart & Son's Blackpool, or Chairman's Reserve)
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 teaspoon grenadine
3 to 4 ounces ginger kombucha
Shake the rum, lime juice, and grenadine with plenty of ice in a cocktail shaker (or lidded mason jar). Strain with the ice into a Tom Collins glass or equivalent, top with kombucha, and gently stir to combine.
